Heading Across the Pond

My flight leaves in seven hours, so this will be my last bit of contact from the states, and my last access to the conveniences of a modern American life.

Tearful goodbyes to friends, massive family gathering, breezy day in Maryland. I will miss you all more than you ever know.

For anyone who hasn't posted their address to me, feel free to comment on this post with it - I will try my very best to send a postcard off to you!

So, as far as communication goes over there, I will be carrying an International Cell Phone with me. Minutes to call home are steep (50 cents/minute), so unfortunately I will probably not get to talk to many of you. However, sending text messages to me is free, but for me to reply to you, it costs another 69 cents.

So, send away! Though you will most likely not get a response. I would love to turn on the phone and see messages from you though, so please send along some words if you feel the desire to.

The number to call to is the same, except you remove the 011 in the beginning.

It also costs a lot to listen to voicemail... so unless it is really important, I probably won't be listening to it. My phone at home will be turned off. But like I said, I will still have intermittent access to facebook, email, and this blog.
